The Beck Road Business Corridor Improvement Project is focused on Beck Road, a critical principal arterial serving a booming area stretching through Oakland and Wayne County. The 2020 Census showed that our region has seen massive population increases over the past decade, and the goal of this project is to enhance this major thoroughfare and support that regional growth. It is time to bring this road... Beck to the Future!

This regional effort includes multiple communities along the corridor including:

​

• Commerce Township

• City of Wixom

• City of Novi

• City of Northville

• Northville Township

• ONLY Wixom and Novi

       are actively pursuing 

       the project

The project seeks to:

• Transform this critical road from 2-3 lanes to 3-5 lanes between Pontiac Trail and 9 Mile Road with a focus on: 

  • improving traffic flow​

  • improving safety

  • increasing the quality of life in the region

• Consider landscaped center medians when appropriate

• Add alternative modes of transport through enhancements to walking and biking paths on both sides of the road, including ramps to accommodate people with disabilities
