The Beck Road Business Corridor Improvement Project is focused on Beck Road, a critical principal arterial serving a booming area stretching through Oakland and Wayne County. The 2020 Census showed that our region has seen massive population increases over the past decade, and the goal of this project is to enhance this major thoroughfare and support that regional growth. It is time to bring this road... Beck to the Future!
This regional effort includes multiple communities along the corridor including:
  • Commerce Township
  • City of Wixom
  • City of Novi
  • City of Northville
  • Northville Township
The project seeks to:
  • Transform this critical road from 2-3 lanes to 5 lanes between Pontiac Trail and 6 Mile Road
    • improve traffic flow
    • improve safety
    • increase the quality of life in the region
  • Consider landscaped center medians when appropriate
  • Add alternative modes of transport through enhancements to walking and biking paths on both sides of the road, including ramps to accommodate people with disabilities
We want your input!
On May 26, 2021 the Cities of Wixom and Novi collaborated on a town hall event to share the most recent updates, and to provide input opportunities, for the Beck to the Future initiative. In case you missed that meeting, follow this link for a copy of the presentation
We will be sharing additional opportunities to provide input in the future, so stay tuned to this page, as well as the websites of our participating communities.
There is a lot to share about this exciting project; thank you for visiting and please contact us if you want to learn more!
